New Camera Means Better Pictures!

So I recently got a better camera! It's the Canon Rebel XS, my first DSLR camara! I know it is one of the older versions, but it's better than using phones and my old camera, which recently stopped working, for reasons I don't know. If you want to check out some of the photography I do, check out my Google+ Page(especially my Album: Samantha's Photography Session)!
I should have way better product photos in the future! If I ever make more items to post!

Crochet Pants, Leggings, or Shorts FREE PATTERN!

A while ago I was looking for crochet pants patterns. ALL I found were shorts patterns... Then Ravelry came along and showed me a pattern for "The Warmest Camouflage Tights." Can I use them for pants? Of course! In the picture I have I'm not wearing leggings under them, but I do wear leggings underneath now because of "holes" in the pant legs.
Here is the pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-warmest-camouflage-tights
To my surprise, she featured my photo on the home page of the pattern:
Yes, mismatched socks ARE awesome...
I decided to make one half gray, and the other black. Take that Hot Topic!
I'm currently making a second pair for my sister, a few months ago I started and only finished one leg.. So she is now forcing me to complete it, which I should have done a long time ago. When they are complete I will most likely post a picture of them.

This pattern can be shortened so that you can make shorts, I made some that went to my knees. The yarn I used was too skinny, and it didn't satisfy me, so no pictures of that! Now that I think of it, these should be done in some nice, soft Red Heart Yarn... Sounds like a plan.

I'm thinking about making a whole matching crochet outfit.. My next few posts should be about the dresses I made! I'll have to put that on my blog to do list, I'll have to create that list first, though XD I hope you enjoy the free pattern!

When Technology Goes Off, The Mind Turns On - Extra Long Santa Hat

When I was looking for a pattern for a long Santa/Christmas hat, I was politely told to take a break from technology.. Which meant no more pattern hunting for the day. SO, I had to rely on my mind to come up with a pattern. So I started from the bottom of the hat and measured my head to get a size. Then I crocheted in the round and decreased when I thought the timing was appropriate. The hat turned out WAY better than I excepted. Then I ribbed the bottom of the hat, and added a large pom pom(not perfectly round as I hoped) to the end of it.
In the future I would like to make a much longer, this will mean more contemplating on where I should decrease :( But it shouldn't be that bad I suppose.
So here is how it turned out:
As I said, I want a longer one...
I will write down the pattern soon, and probably make it available for everyone, since I personally don't like buying patterns.
This hat could be a sleepy time hat, a santa hat, an extended pixie hat, or all of the above. Any other suggestions?
